Terms and conditions

1. Who we are
This website and the AIOU Editor software ("the software") are provided by AIOU Suite, operated by Yaswanth Sai Kumar, India ("we", "us"). By creating an account, downloading or using the software, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the software.
2. Your account
You need an account to use the software. Give a real email address, keep your password private and tell us if someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 18, or have a parent or guardian's permission.
3. The licence we give you
When you start a trial or buy a plan, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the software for as long as that trial or plan runs. You may use it for personal and commercial work. Everything you make with it belongs to you.
One account may be signed in on up to 1 computers at the same time. You can sign a computer out from your account page to use another.
The software contacts our server to confirm your licence. It keeps working without a connection for up to 7 days between checks.
4. Free trial
Each account can use one free trial of 14 days with every feature. When it ends, the software still opens and saves your projects, and exported videos carry a watermark until you buy a plan.
5. Plans, prices and payment
Current plans and prices are on the pricing page. Prices are in Indian rupees. Payments are processed by Razorpay; we never see or store your card or bank details. A plan is paid in advance for its whole period and does not renew by itself: when it ends you choose whether to buy again. We may change prices for future purchases; a plan you have already paid for is not affected.
A lifetime licence covers the major version on sale when you bought it, including its updates. It lasts as long as we offer the software.
6. Refunds
The software is a digital product that is delivered at once, so all sales are final and purchases are not refunded. The few exceptions (such as being charged twice) are set out in the refund policy, which is part of these terms.
7. What you must not do
- Share, sell, rent or sublicense your account or licence key.
- Remove, bypass or tamper with the licence check, or help others do so.
- Copy, modify, decompile or reverse engineer the software, except where the law gives you that right.
- Use the software or this website for anything illegal, or to make content that infringes someone else's rights.
- Attack, overload or probe this website or its licence service.
We may suspend or end a licence that is used against these terms.
8. Ownership
The software, this website, their design and the AIOU name belong to us and are licensed, not sold. The software includes open-source components (among them Electron, Chromium, React and FFmpeg), each under its own licence. Their notices are listed in the software's About window and take priority over these terms for those components.
9. Updates and changes
We may release updates that add, change or remove features. We may also change these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and we will tell you by email about changes that matter. Continuing to use the software after a change means you accept it.
10. No warranty
The software is provided "as is". We work to keep it reliable, but we do not promise that it is free of errors or fits a particular purpose. Save your work often and keep backups of your projects and media.
11. Limit of liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for lost data, lost profit, missed deadlines or other indirect loss from using or being unable to use the software. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
12. Ending
You can stop using the software and ask us to delete your account at any time. These terms end when your account is closed; sections 7, 8, 10, 11 and 13 continue to apply.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are handled by the courts of the city where AIOU Suite is registered. Write to us first and we will try to resolve the matter directly.
